Petr Cech has signed for Arsenal!

The 33-year-old goalkeeper made over 400 appearances during 11 years at Stamford Bridge, winning multiple club and personal honours. He also won the Premier League Golden Glove award on three occasions.
A seven-time Czech Footballer of the Year, Cech made his international debut in 2002. He currently has 114 caps for his country - four short of countryman Karel Poborsky’s all-time record.
Cech began his career in the Czech Republic with Chmel Blsany, before moving to Sparta Prague. He joined Rennes in France in 2002, before arriving in the Premier League with Chelsea in 2004.
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: “Petr Cech is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am very pleased that he has decided to join us. He has proven over many seasons that he is one of the outstanding keepers in the world and he will add great strength to our squad.”
New signing Cech said: “I’m really excited about joining Arsenal Football Club and can't wait to join up for pre-season. I have the same commitment to football, the same motivation and the same hunger for success as I had at the beginning of my career, and I love the challenges brought by the top quality players you face while playing in the Premier League. When Arsène Wenger spoke to me about his ambitions for this club, and how he saw me as part of this team, the decision was clear.”
Cech has completed his medical and will join up with his new team-mates shortly to begin preparations for the 2015/16 season.

Alexis Sanchez is Disappointed by lack of trophies

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez says the FA Cup winners' failure to win more trophies this season is "disappointing".

The £35m signing from Barcelona scored 25 goals and feels he grew as a player.
But the 26-year-old, who is on international duty with Chile at the Copa America, said Arsene Wenger's team could have achieved more.
"I would have liked to be in the Champions League final or to have won the Premier League title," he said.
"We have a bunch of skilful players so to not achieve more is disappointing."
The Gunners won a second consecutive FA Cup by beating Aston Villa 4-0 at Wembley on 30 May. They also qualified for the Champions League but finished 12 points behind Premier League champions Chelsea in third. They were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco at the last-16 stage, and lost their first game in the League Cup, at home to Southampton.
"It was an OK season, but it was bittersweet," said Sanchez.
But on his own game he added: "I had a breakthrough in my football life. Now I switch to the left, I make goals, I pass, I am evolving.
"And if I am put in at centre forward, I will do it in the best way possible."

Family is more important for Arsenal target Petr Cech

Petr Cech will tell Chelsea that he wants to move to Arsenal this summer to keep his family in London, according to reports.

The Blues goalkeeper looks set to leave the club after 11 years, and a report from Goal.com claims that he wants to stay in London with his two children at school in the capital.

The Czech Republic international has one year remaining on his contract, with the Blues hoping to get at least £10m for his services.

The 33-year-old Cech is currently with Chelsea on their post-season tour of Australia, and answered when recently asked if he had played his last game for the club: "I don't know."

"I will fly back now and join the national team. Then when the season is over I will weigh up my options and decide.

"I won’t think about it now. When the decision is made I will tell you.

"At the moment it’s all just speculation. I’m not even thinking about it.

"I'm just going back to join the national team and then I will think about it."

Alexis Sanchez saves Fan from the police

Arsenal's star man Alexis Sanchez has proved he is not just a hero on the pitch, he is one off it too.
A female fan was held by police officers as she tried to cross the road to get near to the striker. Noticing this, Sanchez calmly turned back, spoke to the police and gave the fan what she wanted - a nice picture. The 26-year-old is over in Chile ahead of the Copa America, which starts on 11 June in his native country. The youngster was clearly overcome with emotion once Sanchez moved her away from the police and posed for a photo.

Will Alexis Sanchez ever get tried?

Arsene Wenger confirmed that goal-scorer Alexis Sanchez will miss the start of next season as he now flies back to his homeland of Chile who are hosting Copa America.
Sanchez scored a wonderful 30-yard goal in Arsenal's 4-0 win in the FA Cup final but now will be a key part of Chile's team in a tournament which runs from June 11 to July 4.
Wenger plans to give him four weeks of holiday meaning that he may not return to training until after the Community Shield on August 2 and would be unlikely to play until late August or early September

'I would prefer him to have a good holiday because we played 56 games,' said Wenger. 'And now it's not ideal that he goes to Copa America. It finishes in July and I will give him four-week holiday.'
Wenger also revealed that Arsenal's players had organised the post Cup final celebrations – but that he intended to join in late into the night.
Wenger said: 'The players have organised it all. I don't know where we go but I will follow. I have organised the whole year tonight I just want to follow.'

IS THEO WALCOTT LEAVING ARSENAL?

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott says he is optimistic that agreement can be reached on a new contract with the Gunners.

Walcott’s current deal only has one year left to run, but talks about an extension are due to resume between his representatives and Arsenal later this summer.

However, while he seems confident a new contract will be in place ahead of next season, Walcott also warned that it may take a while for the deal to be finalised.

The 26-year-old England international was speaking at an open-top bus parade around the streets of Islington held to celebrate Arsenal’s 4-0 FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Walcott impressed in the final, scoring the opening goal just before half-time, and will now join up with the England squad.

Despite the wet weather, thousands of Arsenal fans came onto the streets to cheer the squad and Walcott says they now need to be rewarded with a title challenge from the Gunners.

“It has been a great success this year,” said Walcott. “It has been a step up, to finish third (in the Premier League) and win the FA Cup in consecutive years. We want more and more of this.

"These players have the trust in each other and this has got to be a stepping stone now to challenge for the title, because this is what all of these fans dream of.

"We need to do it for them, they have waited a long time."

Arsenal Thrash Aston Villa to secure 12 FA cup win !!

Arsenal won a record 12th FA Cup with a performance of such vibrant and effervescence that Aston Villa simply could not live with them on a remarkable day at Wembley.
Drama is almost stitched into the very fabric of this competition, but the Gunners were simply too good, too dominant to allow any element of doubt to creep in here.
This was ‘Wengerball’ distilled - slick, incisive passing, exceptional off the ball movement and a couple of goals so good they should almost have come with an X-rated warning.
Some 379 days after that unforgettable, nerve-shredding final against Hull City, this could not have been more different.

Arsène Wenger’s side - resplendent in yellow - were in total control from the off. So edgy on their recent visits to the national stadium, this time they were the picture of calm.
The first half was a blur of yellow movement, with Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott all going close, but they finally broke the deadlock five minutes before the interval.
Walcott was the hero, latching on to a cushioned Alexis header to slam the ball in at the near post before spinning away to celebrate with the ecstatic Arsenal fans.
Better was to come after the break, with Alexis scoring the sort of 25-yard screamer that would surely have had Charlie George - the hero of 1971 - nodding in appreciation.
Per Mertesacker headed in a third from a corner as the Gunners continued their assault and Olivier Giroud added a fourth in injury time to add even more gloss to the scoreline.
The final whistle brought scenes of unconfined joy as Wenger joined George Ramsay on six FA Cup wins, while the Gunners’ emphatic victory put them out on their own on with a record 12 triumphs.
Arsenal are England’s cup kings - and what a performance they delivered to do
